Job Summary:
Production Assistant supports daily production activities to ensure smooth, efficient and safe operations within adhesives manufacturing process. This role involves assisting with the preparation of materials, operating machinery, monitoring product quality and adhering to health and safety standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, good communicator and capable of working collaboratively on a busy production floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Preparation:
- Assist in preparing raw materials according to specific formulations for adhesive production.
- Ensure all raw materials are checked, measured, and documented accurately.
- Support inventory management by keeping records of materials used and updating inventory levels.
Machine Operation support:
- Assist in operating and maintaining adhesive production machinery under the guidance of the Production Supervisor.
- Perform minor adjustments to machinery as needed to maintain optimal production flow.
- Conduct regular checks on equipment and report any operational issues or malfunctions
Quality Control:
- Ensure that production meets the company’s quality standards and report any deviation to the production supervisor.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate production records, including batch information, materials used, and any issues encountered during production.
- Complete daily production reports and submit them to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or undergraduate in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing, ideally in adhesives, chemicals, or a related industry, is preferred.
- Skills:
- Basic understanding of machinery and equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move materials(up-to 25kg).
- Standing, bending and operating machinery for extended periods.
- Comfortable working with PPE.
