Job Summary:Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing and improving the adhesive manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and maintain product quality. This role involves analyzing production workflows, designing process improvement, troubleshooting issues and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production and quality goals. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in chemical and process engineering with expertise in adhesive, coating or related field.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Optimization:
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance production efficiency, quality and safety.
- Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks and areas of improvement, implementing solutions to minimize downtime and waste .
- Develop and modify process parameters to optimize adhesive production while maintaining product quality standards.
New Process Development:
- Assist in the design and implementation of new production for adhesive formulations.
- Conduct trials and validations of new processes, ensuring scalability and compliance of quality standards.
- Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to integrate new processes seamlessly into existing production workflows.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving :
- Identify and resolve issues related to equipment, materials and processes that affect production quality or efficiency.
- Implement root cause analysis for recurring issues and devise preventive solutions.
- Support production teams in troubleshooting machinery and process issues to ensure continuous production.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and monitor process parameters to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance team to ensure that processes meet ISO or other quality management standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or undergraduate in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: Previous experience in process, ideally in adhesives, chemicals, or a related industry, is preferred.
- Skills:
- Basic understanding of machinery and equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
